Johnny Davis Leads The Badgers To 74-69 Victory Over Hoosiers

After a tight, back and forth game in Bloomington that went down to the wire, the Wisconsin Badgers came out on top, earning a 73-69 victory over the Indiana Hoosiers.

Once again, it was the Johnny Davis Show for the Badgers, who had a double-double, scoring 30 points, shooting 10-of-15 from the field and 10-14 from the free throw line, and grabbing 12 rebounds. It was Davis' third 30 point game this season, along with his 30 point performance against Houston in the Maui Invitational and his 37 point performance against Purdue in January. In eight games from January 9th through February 5th, Davis shot 50% or better from the field just twice. In each of the Badgers last three games, Davis has been at or above the 50% shooting mark.

Brad Davison also helped carry the offense, scoring 21 points, including going 3-for-8 from beyond the arc and shooting a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line. Davis and Davison combined for 51 of the Badgers 74 points on the night.

It was not a great three point shooting night for either team, with the Badgers making just 4 shots on 16 attempts from beyond the arc and Indiana going just 5 of 18 from 3.

Trayce Jackson-Davis had a strong night for Indiana, scoring 30 points as well with eight rebounds and 10 free throws on 14 attempts. Xavier Johnson had a rough night, going just 3-for-16 from the field.

Wisconsin is now 20-5 on the season and 11-4 in Big Ten play. The 15th ranked Badgers are just a half game back of Illinois for the top spot in the conference.

Next up for the Badgers are the Michigan Wolverines on Sunday, February 20th at the Kohl Center with tip-off scheduled for noon.
