Wisconsin defeats Northwestern 63-48 Wednesday night

Greg Gard picked up his 100th career win, the Badgers moved into a three-way tie for first place in the Big Ten, and Wisconsin took down Northwestern on Senior Night at the Kohl Center, 63-48 on Wednesday in Madison.

Wisconsin didn't shoot particularly well (39%) but held Northwestern to just 31.5% shooting and had a plus-seven edge in rebounding in the Badgers' victory.

Six Badgers, including all five starters and Micah Potter off the bench, scored between eight and 11 points, led by Nate Reuvers, in a balanced attack.

Wisconsin has now won seven in a row and wraps up the regular season against Indiana on the road, a team that is fighting for an NCAA Tournament bid. The Badgers also clinched a double-bye in next week's Big Ten Tournament. If the season ended today, Wisconsin would be the #1 seed.

With a win Sunday, the Badgers would no worse than share a Big Ten regular-season title.
