Wisconsin wins sixth game in a row, defeats Minnesota 56-51

A gritty defensive effort and solid games from the Minnesota natives on the Badgers' roster helped Wisconsin to a 56-51 victory over the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Wednesday night.

Minnesota natives Brad Davison and Nate Reuvers had big games for the Badgers, with Davison scoring 10 points and Reuvers notching nine points, eight rebounds, and seven blocked shots. Ethan Happ (an Illinois native) scored 15 points and pulled down 13 rebounds for Wisconsin.

Jordan Murphy scored 16 points for Minnesota while grabbing 18 rebounds, and Daniel Oturu had 12 points and 11 rebounds off the bench.

The win for the Badgers avenged an earlier loss to Minnesota on January 3. Wisconsin lost 59-52 in that game.

Wisconsin will test their winning streak by attempting a season sweep of #7 Michigan on Saturday on the road. The Badgers won the first meeting between the schools on January 19 64-54.
