49ers at Vikings (SPREAD: CHI -5) [Sunday 1:00 pm ET on CBS]

“I'm going to take the Vikings +5 points. I think that's the play here. Niners are on a short week, now Jennings is hurt at wide receiver, Christian McCaffrey is still out... I think it's hard to play two perfect football games back-to-back. Sam Darnold is playing his old team and hes faced them in practice. Minnesota is the only team who held an opponent under 10 points in Week 1. They got five sacks last week, I think they'll put some pressure, and I think this is one of the best coached team in the league. This is a short week for the Niners and they're still banged up. The Vikings pass offense -- and this is using backup quarterbacks -- under Kevin O'Connell they're putting up top 5 numbers in the league. I think this goes down to the final sequence and the final minutes of the game. I'm going to take the Vikings to cover, but the Niners win narrowly, 26-23."

Colin's prediction: 49ers 26, Vikings 23

Colin's pick: Minnesota +5

Saints at Cowboys (SPREAD: DAL -6) [Sunday, 1:00 pm ET on CBS]

“I'm going to take the Cowboys as a 6-point home favorite and swallow the six points. This is the best bet on the board. Just go look at the numbers. McCarthy and Dak are unbelievable home favorites. It's bully ball. When they're favored and playing an inferior team they roll them. They were the best home team in the NFL last year at 8-0. They scored 37 points a game. They're very comfortable as a favorite playing downhill. The defense had six sacks [last week] and it's probably the strength of the team. The Saints were 1-5 against playoff teams last year, but they were 9-3 against non-playoff teams from the start of last season. The Saints get their wins off the lousy teams, especially lousy teams at home. Now it's against a good team on the road. I like Dallas to win and cover -- 30-20, Cowboys."

Colin's prediction: Cowboys 30, Saints 20

Colin's pick: Dallas -6

Jets at Titans (SPREAD: NYJ -4) [Sunday, 1:00 pm ET on CBS]

“The wiseguys like the Titans, I do not. I'm going to take the Jets. As much as Aaron may have scuffed, he was the fourth-highest graded passer of the week against a very good defense. This offense is going to get better. They got pushed around. This offense is all new guys, they're going to get better every week and it may take four weeks to get their act together. I'm not sure Tennessee has an NFL quarterback. They were atrocious on third down and failed to cross midfield in the second half. It was brutal. The last nine starts Will Levis is completing 57% of his throws. The Jets were humiliated physically and will play with their hair on fire. Their defense will be fine. I like the Jets to win and the Jets to cover, 24-10."

Colin's prediction: Jets 24, Titans 10

Colin's pick: New York -6

Steelers at Broncos (SPREAD: PIT -2.5) [Sunday, 4:25 pm ET on CBS]

“I like the Broncos at home +2.5. I like the dog here. Pittsburgh has another road game cross country going to the high altitude. I thought Denver was pretty good defensively. Sean Payton and his guys may not have great personnel but they held the Seahawks to 158 passing yards and two turnovers. Bo Nix threw one bad pick in 42 attempts; I thought he was pretty good. I've said all off-season that I think Denver's personnel is better than you think. I think they have one of the smartest offensive coaches at home. Pittsburgh had the 28th ranked scoring offense last season and I think it's worse now. Justin Fields did not attempt a single pass over the middle of the field; Denver coaches are going to see that. I'm going to take the Broncos and the points. I think they win outright, 23-20."

Colin's prediction: Broncos 23, Steelers 20

Colin's pick: Denver +2.5

Bears at Texans (SPREAD: HOU -6.5) [Sunday, 8:20 pm ET on NBC]

“I'm going to take another favorite. I think in about six more weeks we might be looking up and thinking CJ Stroud is the third-best quarterback in the league. I think the kid is incredible. 75% completion percentage at home last year as a rookie. Had a 112 passer rating at home. The kid is unbelievable. He's intentional with his running, he's one of the more accurate passers, and now they've given him Joe Mixon; a 20-30 carry back. They've added Stefon Diggs. This offensive roster is ELITE and top 2-3 in the league now. CJ Stroud is getting better. The Bears offense is a mess, and now Rome Odunze and Keenan Allen are hurt. Their offense had the fewest yards in the league last week, and that was at home against an average team. I don't think they're going to get the ball much. I think it's a mismatch and I don't get the line. I think the Texans win and cover, 27-17.

Colin's prediction: Texans 27, Bears 17

Colin's pick: Houston -6.5
