Cowboys Weren't To Leave Playbooks in Hotels if They're Facing the Patriots

Dallas Cowboys v New England Patriots

NFL cornerback, Orlando Scandrick, while on The Herd with Colin Cowherd reacted to the latest reports of the Patriots filming at least 8 minutes of footage while Cincinnati Bengals were playing the Cleveland Browns. The story is as follows according to CBS:

"The Patriots sent a third-party video contractor to Cleveland for the shoot. They were credentialed by the Browns, but the Bengals and the NFL were not made aware -- by either the Patriots or Browns -- of the presence of a Pats video crew. According to a report from Dianna Russini of ESPN, a Bengals staffer spotted the Patriots.com credentialed cameraman with Boston Bruins gear on and proceeded to observe what the cameraman was doing. Allegedly, the cameraman proceeded to point his camera at the Bengals coaching staff and sideline for essentially the entire quarter. At this point, the employee watching the cameraman got media relations, who got security and things got a little awkward."

Scandrick said the following regarding the Patriots situation: "I think the Patriots exemplify 'Whatever it takes, at all costs to win,' and I think it's just unfortunate." Scandrick is unbothered by it, "That's New England. They're gonna win by all costs."

Cowherd asks Scandrick his thoughts on New England while he played for the Philadelphia Eagles. While his encounters with them were minimal during his Eagles tenure, Scandrick points out some interesting instructions he had while he was playing for the Dallas Cowboys:

"When I played them when I was in Dallas, we were instructed to not leave any type of playbooks around the hotel, or anything that has anything to do with what we're doing gameplan-wise around the hotel because, the myth is (and I don't know if this is true) that they (The Patriots) have people who do sweeps of hotels and they bring anything to them, and they use whatever they can."
