Green Bay defeated Minnesota 43-34 on Sunday, highlighted by 522 yards of offense and a record-setting day by Davante Adams. Aaron Rodgers threw for four touchdowns, while the ground game averaged nearly five yards per carry.
Hear from coach Matt LaFleur, offensive linemen Corey Linsley and Jon Runyan Jr., receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and tight end Josiah Deguara as the Packers recap a big Week 1 victory over Minnesota.
Coach LaFleur discussed the need for the Packers to keep pushing down the stretch, noting that Green Bay let Minnesota score a bunch of points to mount a comeback in the fourth quarter. LaFleur also acknowledged that Lane Taylor is out for the year, but couldn't provide an update on Kenny Clark:
Marquez Valdes-Scantling hauled in a couple of big passes, but also missed on a couple of plays. Despite that, his teammates credited his ability to continue to get after it, and Valdez-Scantling himself says he shook the missed plays off and focused on what came next:
Rookie Josiah Deguara was mentioned by the broadcast teams as something of a surprised to be involved so early, so often, and Deguara says he was going full tilt in his first NFL experience:
