Kicker/punter Kaare Vedvik, who the Minnesota Vikings acquired via trade over the weekend, was reportedly a trade target of the Green Bay Packers.
That's according to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press, who tweeted on Monday that the Packers, Chicago Bears, and New York Jets were the other teams vying for the services of Vedvik.
Minnesota ended up sending a low future draft pick to Baltimore in exchange for Vedvik, who could serve in a dual role in Minnesota.
The Green Bay Packers currently have a battle at the position in camp, with Sam Ficken challenging longtime incumbent Mason Crosby.
