"Respect" Makes Josh McDaniels Top Candidate For Packers Job

Josh McDaniels has worked with Bill Belichick, Tom Brady, and coached on the biggest stage in football. That should earn the respect of Aaron Rodgers, which makes him the top candidate for the Green Bay Packers' head coaching vacancy.

That's according to ESPN's First Take, but they key in most discussions is whether or not the new Packers coach can earn the ear of the Packers' franchise quarterback. Rodgers had been critical of play calling, coaching decisions, and front office moves (or the lack thereof) in recent years.

The only hurdle would be how McDaniels handled his hire by the Indianapolis Colts, where he then resigned shortly after to return to New England.

McDaniels is expected to interview Friday for the Packers' coaching job.
