HSGB: Season hits the homestretch as calendar flips

With the high school girls basketball season only a few short weeks from the playoffs, conference races heat up as the calendar turns to February.

Norbert Durst of WisSports.net discusses two huge stories from the past week of the season, including Aquinas extending its own in-state winning streak while stopping Beaver Dam's in a huge match-up last weekend, as well as an injury to one of the top players on the state's #2-ranked team in Division 1, Madison Memorial, which opens up the championship race in both D1 and D2.

On that front, while D1, D2, and D3 look to be competitive at the top, Aquinas in D4 and Black Hawk in D5 look absolutely dominant so far this year.

Durst also dives into some of the top players in the state and some of the recent trends of top players landing at D1 schools, which includes over two dozen for the Class of 2020.
