Markus Howard's game-high 26 points weren't enough to help #5 Marquette avoid the dreaded 5-12 upset, as #12 Murray State dominated the Golden Eagles in a 19-point NCAA Tournament victory. The Racers' Ja Morant recorded a triple-double in the victory for Murray State.
Morant recorded 17 points, 16 assists, and 11 rebounds to lead the Racers.
In addition to Howard's 26, Sam Hauser added 16 points for the Golden Eagles in their loss.
Marquette went 1-6 over their final seven games of the 2018-19 season.
Murray State will play Florida State on Saturday for a shot at the Sweet 16.
