Markus Howard picks up Big East Player of the Week honors for fifth time

Markus Howard poured in 32 points in Marquette’s only game of the week, a 76-58 win at Butler. The junior shot 14-of-23 (.609) from the floor and grabbed five rebounds. He leads the BIG EAST in scoring with a 25.0 average, free throw shooting at 91.1 percent and 3-point baskets with 78. The 32-point effort was Howard’s 13th 30-point game of his career. The junior takes Player of the Week honors for the fifth time this season.

Howard won the weekly honor only a few weeks ago, when he averaged nearly 40 points over two games in wins over Creighton and Seton Hall.
