10 best NFL throwback jerseys (according to Fox Sports)

#10 Green Bay Packers: worn from 1937-48

Although the colors resemble the University of Michigan’s, the blue-and-yellow combo looks just as good in Green Bay. The all-yellow helmet makes this jersey stand out and gives the whole ensemble an old-school feel.

#9 Chicago Bears: worn from 1940-46

Count us among those who think this navy blue-and-orange combination is better than the team’s current use of the same colors.

#8 Buffalo Bills: worn from 1962-73

There is nothing better than a classic white uniform -- especially with the white helmet. The red buffalo on the side of the dome is a simpler logo from a simpler time.

#7 St. Louis Rams: worn from 1973-2000

Who could forget the start of The Greatest Show on Turf? This jersey brings back great memories for the Rams, and they don’t look too shabby in them today. If they end up moving back to Los Angeles, don’t be surprised if these go from throwbacks to regular Sunday bests.

#6 Dallas Cowboys: worn from 1960-66

The white helmet with the Cowboys iconic star on both shoulder pads gives this combination a nice, clean look. Oh, for the days where anything was simple with the Cowboys.

#5 Atlanta Falcons: worn from 1966-70

Black jerseys can be hit or miss, but these hit the mark, particularly with the red helmet sitting on top. Anyone really think the current Falcons logo is better than this one?

#4 San Diego Chargers: worn from 1968-73

San Diego fans love to wear these to games. What better way to remind yourself of the beautiful sky and beaches of California than with a powder blue jersey? Yeah, the yellow lightning bolt has nothing to do with any of that, but it represents the team name and looks damn cool next to that powder blue.

#3 New England Patriots: worn from 1961-92

The helmet has a Patriot snapping a football on it. How cool is that compared to the Flying Elvis? Plus, the bright red jersey pops in a way the current navy blues simply can’t. If we didn’t know better we’d think Betsy Ross herself designed these.

#2 Tampa Bay Buccaneers: worn from 1976-96

This is the ultimate love-or-hate jersey. The Bucs were one of the worst teams in the NFL for most of the time they wore the creamsicles, making the pastel colors synonymous with weakness. Even the pirate on the helmet lacked the usual badass-ness expected from a wooden legger, but it’s all so awful that it’s just . . . well . . . great.
