Debunking All Arguments Against the College Football Playoff Expansion

Debunking All Arguments Against the College Football Playoff Expansion

Jason Smith and Mike Harmon poke holes in the arguments against the 12-team College Football Playoff:

"You water down the field." - You're adding 8 teams, not 40. The resume of the teams you're adding are largely the same as some of the teams who are in the top 4.

"Regular season won't mean as much." - There's 5-10 big games every week involving top teams. There's only 6 wildcard slots, not 20. You still have to win.

"It Ruins the Bowl System." - Just like MLB and NBA All-Star game, the bowls have had their heyday. You just want to slow the descent of their importance to a drip to squeeze whatever you can out of them.
