Follow us as we follow EPL soccer this fall

Drew, KB, Armen, Intern Josh, Thunder and Ridder from 'The Country Station Down the Hall' are following the English Premier League this year.

Why?

Why the hell not?

The guys like "sweet action" that comes with sports, they like trash-talking each other and they like drinking beer early on weekends.

In our "draft" last week, Armen selected Arsenal as his club. Intern Josh grabbed Manchester United. KB took Chelsea. Ridder and Thunder went with Liverpool. And, Drew - a Harry Kane fan - took Tottenham Hotspur.

Here is a Week 1 recap:

Scoreboard

Chelsea 3, Huddersfield 0

Man United 2, Leicester City 1

Tottenham Hotspur 2, Newcastle 1

Manchester City 2, Arsenal 0

Liverpool 4, West Ham 0

Notes

Arsenal – Armen’s Gunner’s were out-gunned by Man City. No shame there. But, they look like they'll have brighter days this season.

Liverpool – Good opener for Thunder and Ridder’s Reds (4-0) against West Ham. Liverpool plays Man City Oct. 7. The rest is just prelims.

Chelsea – Easy win for KB’s blues at Huddersfield Town. Manager Maurizio Sarri is 1-0. We'll see how long that lasts...

Manchester United – Intern Josh’s favorite player will be World Cup hero Paul Pogba. His stats vs. Leicester were sick:

Pogba time!
91 touches
68 passes attempted
54 passes completed
6 take-ons
2 aerial duels won
2 tackles won
2 interceptions
2 shots
1 goal

Tottenham Hotspur – Dele Alli was great for Drew, Harry Kane was less than ordinary, but the Spurs won a game they could easily have lost vs. Newcastle.

Up next

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Fulham (Saturday)

Chelsea vs. Arsenal (Saturday)

Man U vs. Brighton Hove&Albion (Sunday)

Liverpool vs. Crystal Palace (Monday)
