Lauer and Urias Lead Brewers Past Arizona 3-0

Despite having no chance at the playoffs, the Brewers put on a nice performance on Tuesday night in their 3-0 win over Arizona.

Eric Lauer finished his solid season by going six innings without allowing a hit. He did walk four batters, but those were the only baserunners against him.

The Brewers first run came from Garrett Mitchell when he hit his second big league home run in the second inning. It was a solo home run to give the Brewers a 1-0 lead.

In the third inning, the Brewers added another run on a Luis Urias solo home run. It was his 16th of the season.

In the fifth inning, Urias doubled to score Jace Peterson and extend the Brewers lead to 3-0.

Lauer exited after six innings and Jake Cousins entered the game for Milwaukee. He allowed the first hit for Arizona immediately, but didn’t allow him to score.

Cousins pitched two scoreless innings and Peter Strzelecki finished off the Diamondbacks for the Brewers 3-0 win.

The Brewers will play the final game of the 2022 season on Wednesday afternoon at 3:10pm at American Family Field against Arizona. Listen to the final postgame show of the season with Tim Allen following the game on 97.3 The Game.
