Adrian Houser pitched seven innings of shutout baseball and Josh Hader got the save as the Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Chicago White Sox 1-0 on Wednesday night in Chicago.
Houser allowed five hits and issued two walks, and threw five strikeouts, to help Milwaukee earn its first shutout of the 2020 season.
Mark Mathias scored the only run for Milwaukee on a hit by Eric Sogard in the third inning. The Brewers managed five hits, but struck out 11 times.
Christian Yelich got the night off after struggling out of the gate with just three hits in his first eight games.
Milwaukee wraps up its home-and-home four-game series with Chicago Thursday night.
