Brewers defeat Diamondbacks Sunday 7-4

Tyler Saladino's fourth-inning grand slam and a three-run in the eighth inning got the Milwaukee Brewers a 7-4 lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday, but at the cost of losing All-Star pitcher Brandon Woodruff to injury.

Woodruff exited in the fourth inning with an oblique injury and will be placed on the injured list. Woodruff was named to the 2019 NL All-Star roster as an injury replacement for fellow Brewers pitcher Josh Hader.

Saladino's slam tied the game in the fourth inning before Milwaukee added the three-spot late in the game to take the game and series from the Diamondbacks. Milwaukee won three of four games in the series.

Next up, the Brewers take on the Reds at Miller Park for three games. Then, Milwaukee sandwiches off-days around a three-game weekend series with the Cubs at home.
