Posey's slam sends Brewers packing 10-7 in 10 innings

Buster Posey's 10th-inning grand slam with nobody out lifted the San Francisco Giants to a 10-7 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday night. The Brewers led 5-4 going into the eighth inning, but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Josh Hader gave up runs in both the eighth and ninth innings, and Matt Albers allowed the slam by Posey as Milwaukee's bullpen faltered in its final three innings.

Chase Anderson allowed two runs and three hits in five innings of work. Corbin Burnes gave up a pair of runs in the sixth inning as the Giants made their push late.

After Posey's grand slam made the score 10-6, the Brewers' rally in the bottom of the 10th fell short. Keston Hiura hit a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth, but that was it for Milwaukee's scoring.

Game two of the three-game series is Saturday evening in Milwaukee.
