Christian Yelich hit his 25th home run and Yasmani Grandal's three-run blast in the ninth got the Brewers within two, but the Astros got the win 10-8 in Houston on Tuesday.
Yelich and Grandal provided six of the 11 hits by Milwaukee's offense, which was unable to overcome a rough outing by Freddy Peralta, who gave up six earned runs before giving way to the Brewers' bullpen.
The two-game series wraps up Wednesday in Houston.
