Christian Yelich becomes the first Milwaukee Brewers player to win the MVP since Ryan Braun in 2011, easily claiming the award with 29 of a possible 30 first-place votes with the one remaining vote going to Jacob deGrom, the fifth-place finisher in the NL MVP voting.
Yelich, 26, was acquired from the Miami Marlins in the offseason in a trade involving former Brewers prospects.
