Pirates top Brewers 3-1 on Saturday

The Brewers lost to the Pirates on Saturday, 3-1, putting Milwaukee 2.5 games back of the Chicago Cubs in the NL Central. The Brewers still have a three-game lead in the NL Wild Card standings.

Ivan Nova went six innings for Pittsburgh, giving up only four hits and one run. The Pirates' bulllpen allowed three hits over three innings with four strikeouts.

Milwaukee got a first-inning solo home run from Christian Yelich, and Jesus Aguilar had three hits, but the Brewers couldn't add any runs in the game.

The rubber match of the series is Sunday at Miller Park.
