Colin Cowherd: Gap Between Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson is Growing

Colin Cowherd: “I’m watching Patrick Mahomes take on Lamar Jackson and Baltimore and I can’t unsee that; it changes things. The gap between Mahomes and Lamar is growing. The confidence between the Chiefs confidence and the Ravens’ confidence when they play the Chiefs is widening, and getting worse not better. Lamar is now 0-5 against the Chiefs and playoff teams, and he doesn’t look the same on third down and trailing. I feel like Patrick Mahomes is on an escalator and slowing ascending. It looks like Lamar Jackson is on one of those people movers at the airport. It gets you there faster and it’s really efficient but it’s useless when you’re trying to go to the very top floor, which in the NFL is of course, the Super Bowl. Lamar Jackson trailing and has to pass on third and long is not the same. Third and fourteen for Mahomes they just drop touchdown plays. It doesn’t feel that way for Lamar.” (Full Segment Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks the gap between Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson is greatly widening, coming off a Monday Night Football game in which Lamar played the worst game of his career, and dropped to 0-3 against Mahomes and the Chiefs.

Check out the video above as Colin details why it’s going to be hard for even Jackson’s biggest supporters to ‘unsee’ that game, and why he doesn’t have any confidence going forward that Jackson can beat Mahomes head-to-head.
