HS Girls Hoops Season Preview with Norbert Durst, WisSports.net

It's a new season in high school girls basketball, and there's already plenty to look forward to over the next three months or so. Norbert Durst of WisSports.net previews the state at large as we embark on a new campaign.

There are a lot of familiar names at the top of the early-season coaches poll, including all of the defending state champions. Power programs such as Beaver Dam, Aquinas, and Black Hawk have a firm hold on the top spots, while Divisions 1 and 3 have several legitimate title contenders entering 2019-2020.

In terms of the players, the state has dozens of Division 1-caliber basketball players, and most have already made their college picks. It's to the point that nearly every major college basketball program is recruiting the state, which is as deep in talent as it has ever been top to bottom.
