No Markus Howard, no problem for Marquette, as the Golden Eagles piled up 46 first-half points in a rout of Jacksonville on Thursday night en route to victory, 75-56.
Howard, the nation's leading scorer, is in concussion protocol and missed the game.
Sacar Anim led Marquette with 19 points, while Theo John added 11. Jamal Cain added eight points and 12 rebounds off the bench.
Marquette plays at Kansas State on Saturday before breaking for finals. The Golden Eagles will play three non-conference home games before opening up Big East play at Creighton on January 1.
