Marquette eases past Providence 76-58

Five Golden Eagles scored in double figures as the balanced attack led Marquette past Providence 76-58 on Saturday.

Sam Hauser notched a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Sacar Anim also had 18 points, with Joey Hauser scoring 15, Markus Howard adding 14 points, and Ed Morrow pouring in 11.

Alpha Diallo led Providence with a game-high 19 points, but the Friars fell behind by 11 at halftime before Marquette went into cruise control in the second half.

A rematch with Villanova on Wednesday awaits Marquette. A win over Villanova would all but clinch a Big East title for Marquette.
