Short-handed #15 Marquette defeats Georgetown 74-71

Markus Howard left the game just three minutes in with a minor back injury, but #15 Marquette rallied to take down Georgetown 74-71 on Tuesday night behind Sam Hauser's 31 points.

Four Golden Eagles reached double figures, including Hauser's brother, Joey, who had 10 points. Theo John scored 14, while Sacar Anim had 10.

Marquette also didn't have Ed Morrow available for the game.

Mac McClung scored 24 for Georgetown to lead the Hoyas.

Now 15-3, Marquette will play Providence at home on Sunday at Fiserv Forum. Marquette will play DePaul next Wednesday before going on the road for two games to close out January.
