Marquette outlasts Wisconsin in overtime, 74-69

Marquette upset #12 Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon at Fiserv Forum, 74-69. Markus Howard scored 27 to lead the Golden Eagles, who improved to 8-2 on the season.

Joey Hauser and Sam Hauser had 15 and 13 points respectively, the only other Marquette players in double figures.

Marquette's win spoiled a huge game from Wisconsin's Ethan Happ, who dropped 34 points to lead all scorers in the game. Happ added 11 rebounds.

With the rivalry win in their back pocket, Marquette will play three more non-conference games to close out their eight-game homestand, but first they will get 10 days off before hosting North Dakota, #17 Buffalo, and Southern U in the month of December. Big East play begins January 1 with a game at St. John's.
