Last night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center the Admirals tamed the Bulldogs of Hamilton Ontario in their only meeting of the AHL Season 4-2.
There was scoring through out the three periods which is always fun for the fans. Hamilton struck first when defenseman Greg Pateryn fired a shot that beat Admirals goalie Mazanec on his glove side. Just five short minutes later Admiral Center Mark Van Guilder lit his 9th red light of the season when he put his own rebounded shot past Bulldogs goalie Rober Mayer.
The second period was pretty much all Admirals, when Center Austin Watson lit the lamp, and put Milwaukee up 2-1.
The third period started with the Admirals up... until a little over 4 minutes into the final period Hamilton scored, tying the game at 2. Thats where the score stood until Milwaukee defenseman Roussel scored his first goal of the season to give the Admirals the lead for good (3-2). Rookie sensation, and soon to be Admirals AHL All-Star representative, put the icing on the cake by slapping an empty netter with :13 seconds left, from 3/4th the length of the ice.
The Admirals improve to 22-13-6-4 on the season and host Utica Friday night puck drops 7pm.
