Markus Howard led all scorers with 32 points in Marquette's 82-68 win over St. John's on Tuesday night at Fiserv Forum. Koby McEwen added 10 points and nine rebounds for the Golden Eagles.
The win was Marquette's third in a row and pushed the Golden Eagles into fourth place in the Big East. Marquette is 14-5 overall on the season.
Free throw shooting was a big difference in the game, as Marquette went 26 of 33 from the line while St. John's shot just six for nine.
Marquette visits #13 Bulter on Friday evening in a battle of two teams next to each other in the conference standings, with Butler at 3-3 in Big East play this season.
