New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft surprised Tom Brady's mother with a Super Bowl 51 ring in recognition of her health scare fighting cancer and the impact it had on her son last season. Brady dedicated the the Patriots' victory to his mother, Galynn Brady saying the win was all the more special when she was able to travel to Houston to attend the game. Kraft revealed after the game that Galynn underwent chemotherapy and radiation to treat cancer throughout the 2016 season. The 76-year-old Kraft, who has spoken repeatedly of viewing Brady as a son, surprised the Brady family this off-season by giving Galynn a Super Bowl ring.
Brady led the Patriots to overcome a 25-point deficit in the 3rd quarter to defeat the Atlanta Falcons in overtime.
