Listen to Dierks Bentley on iHeartRadio

Dierks Bentley will once again help recognize some winners from the Academy of Country Music Awards who didn't get their due during April's televised ceremony.

The country star has been tapped to host the 7th annual ACM Honors event, which pays tribute to Special Award recipients and those who earned their ACM awards off-camera.  It's the second consecutive year Bentley will be at the helm for the special event, and the singer says he's glad he was invited back.

He admits he "really didn't know what to expect last year," but "it was a total blast."  Dierks explains that since the ceremony isn't televised, "anything goes."

Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Lady Antebellum, and The Judds are among this year's ACM Honors recipients.  The ceremony will take place at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on September 10th.
